adrianna Potts
Adrianna is the owner and founder of Potts Law PLLC. She was born and raised in the beautiful Mission Valley in northwestern Montana. Adrianna attended Montana State University in Bozeman for her undergraduate degree and decided to broaden her horizons by moving to Laramie, Wyoming to attend law school at the University of Wyoming College of Law, graduating with honors in 2013. After three years away, she determined that Montana was the place to settle down for good. Adrianna moved to Billings and began working for a small law firm doing insurance defense work. After getting her feet wet in civil litigation, she transitioned to Crowley Fleck, PLLP, practicing mainly in the Workers’ Compensation world and making partner in January of 2020.
In October of 2022, Adrianna decided her legal skills were better suited to a smaller setting, so she opened her own law office. Adrianna continues to practice mainly in workers compensation, having built a relationship and reputation with her insurance clients. However, she also works with individuals to help with any civil matters that come up—be it a dispute with a neighbor, a car accident, a contract dispute, or litigation involving an estate. Adrianna works extremely hard to obtain good results for her clients, whether they be an insurance company or an individual.
Over the years, Adrianna has learned that the relationships you build are just as important as the results obtained, and a good client relationship goes hand in hand with good results. Adrianna would be happy to sit down and talk about legal matters you may be facing.

Kai Thorsgard was excited to join Potts Law, PLLC in 2024 after practicing in a wide range of civil litigation matters with firms in Montana and in North Dakota. Now, working with Adrianna, Kai is glad to be able to focus more on client objectives while working with greater efficiency at a boutique firm backed by superior management and the world’s best golden retriever.
Today, Kai represents clients primarily in workers’ compensation matters, though he also has experience in personal injury, products liability, construction defect, Constitutional law, employment law, agricultural law, and a variety of real property cases. If you or someone you know needs legal assistance or advice in any of these areas or beyond, Kai is eager to help.
Kai earned his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Minnesota-Duluth in 2006, where he graduated cum laude. Thereafter, Kai began working as a wildland firefighter for the U.S.D.A. Forest Service, leaving his appointment in 2019 to pursue a legal career. In law school, Kai focused on becoming proficient in real-world practice issues by devoting himself to clerkships at private firms and practice-oriented curriculum. He proudly served our Nation’s armed servicemembers with the Veterans’ Advocacy Clinic under the supervision and training of Hilary Wandler at the Alexander Blewett III school of law at the University of Montana, where he earned the Excellence in in Clinical Studies Award for legal services provided pro bono to veterans and their families. Kai received his juris doctor in 2022 and then became a member of the State Bar Association of Montana. He is licensed to practice in all Courts of the State, as well as the Federal District Courts for Montana.
If you need to find Kai in his free time, look for him in Montana’s mountains, rivers, lakes, woods, or on the prairie. He can be found chasing elk in the Fall, riding mountain bike trails in the Spring and Summer, or spending time with his family, including his son, Leif, and his black lab, Ruby. Kai loves Montana’s outdoors as much as he loves practicing law, and he hopes he can share both passions with you, the client.
